electric bass, objects
Born in 1988 in Berlin, Germany, my passion for the low end led me to taking up bass lessons and playing e-bass in jazz and rock bands. Living and playing with friends in various countries over the years including Ireland, Spain, France and now Belgium, and visiting festivals (like Météo Mulhouse, A l'Arme Berlin) has broadened my musical horizon. This means keeping an open ear to free jazz, electronic music and hip hop, but also West African and Latin American music; as well as incorporating improvisational and sampling techniques in music production.
My current research in early Mexican history also includes a strong interest in the intersections between politics and music making, and in the frictions between differing time conceptions that arose with the colonial contact between Western and non-Western cultures. I'm studying free improvisation with Michel Massot in Brussels.
